Making assumptions

Today there is a special class in making assumptions. It’s compulsory for anyone who has asked to move rooms. Apparently, the first assumption many people try to make is that moving rooms means they are on the way out of the SoD. This seems a very attractive assumption, and I’d like to have a go at it. It’s not allowed, apparently. They say this assumption is weak and tears easily and people get disappointed and have to move even further into the SoD.

The first assumption we’re told to make is ‘you are here for a good long time yet’. I don’t want to make this one – in the picture, it’s grey and lumpy. I want to make something colourful from further on in the pattern book. We’re still arguing about it.
