Path closed: diversion

Here’s something rather obvious. The more you think about something upsetting, the more you reinforce the neural pathway that leads that way. The more you tramp down the grass in the garden, the muddier the path becomes. So I am trying to avoid the path. I’ve set up a diversion and will wander through the trees rather than tread that same path deeper and deeper every day.

Straying from the path has its own perils, of course.
