Undertow

I’m swimming on the surface today, not feeling the undertow, not looking at the red flag on the beach.

I’ve done this before, at the Bay of Sirens near Napoli. Then, my abandoner saved me from drowning. Now I have to hope the undertow stays under and I stay above, untowed, for there’s no one else in the sea.
