It is more crowded in here than I realised. People hide away, so that the place looks empty, but I come across more and more of them. It’s quite a sociable place, really. The inmates are often helpful and generous towards each other. I have met such kindness and support here, some from people who drop in and out, some from people who have been here for years, still searching for the exit. Sartre over-simplified.
